Tell me... can you relate?

  • Spending hours watching reels, reading blogs, searching the internet but STILL feeling overwhelmed and confused about how to eat healthy and what nutrition information to trust?
  • You’ve spent years watching your weight yo-yo up and down with each dieting success and failure. You have tried every diet but find you can’t stick to it or end up exhausted from the obsession and rigidity it requires?
  • Are you struggling with consistency with meal planning, shopping, and preparing healthy, balanced meals? Do you often find yourself eating out for the 5th time this week or eating the same boring meals over and over?
  • Are you stuck in bad habits like emotional or stress eating? Do you have new or enduring disordered behaviors around food and exercise such as binging, purging or restricting? Do you struggle with a negative body image?
  • Are you taking medications that manage your metabolic or mental health issues which have resulted in changes in appetite but you desire to have balanced, adequate nutrition that supports good energy and overall health and longevity?

If you answer YES and relate to any of these issues, you are not alone! You deserve support!

I have a great passion and history of success in
helping clients with these kinds of struggles.

Your struggles are not a character flaw
and it’s not a laziness problem.

You just need the support and guidance I offer to overcome these problems and find greater health, happiness and confidence with food, exercise and body.

Hi! I'm Katrisha

...a dietitian who believes healthy eating shouldn’t be complicated or stressful. My goal is to help you build a positive, sustainable relationship with food and your body through practical, evidence-based guidance that is achievable in your real life.

Over the past 14 years working as a dietitian, I’ve had the opportunity to work in many areas of healthcare — from psychiatric hospitals and eating disorder clinics to long term care hospitals, rehab centers, and the past 4 years in private practice. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of how physical and emotional health connect, and how nutrition can support healing in both.

While I specialize in disordered eating, I also enjoy working with clients managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and digestive concerns. No matter your goals, I aim to make nutrition feel doable, empowering, and personalized to you.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a dietitian and nutritionist?
Dietitian is a healthcare professional who has completed a rigorous academic program and 1200 hour internship, is registered with a national credentialing board and must complete required continuing education hours to maintain credential.

Nutritionist is a broader term that can refer to individuals with varying levels of educations and training in nutrition. A nutritionist may have a variety of educational backgrounds, including bachelor's degrees in nutrition, health, or wellness, or may have completed a certification program. Some states do not require nutritionists to be certified.

One big difference is only a Dietitian can provide Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) which involves assessing and treating nutritional problems related to medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. They can also develop individualized nutrition plans, educate patients on food choices, and collaborate with healthcare teams.
How can I help?
As your dietitian, our sessions will combine both nutrition education and counseling to support your health goals in a way that feels sustainable and realistic. I'll help you sift through the food noise and understand the evidence-based recommendations and interventions that truly matter. My goal is to make nutrition feel clearer, not more complicated.

Making lasting change is hard! Quick fixes are a myth. Through nutrition counseling, we'll focus on building confidence, motivation and practical skills so you understand not just WHAT to do but HOW to make changes that fit your life. There will always be struggles during the process of change. I will help you work through barriers, obstacles and setbacks along the way.

Our work will also explore your mindset and relationship with food and body image. Using Intuitive Eating and mindful eating approaches, we'll strengthen your mind-body connection and create a more peaceful, flexible way of nourishing yourself.

Healing your relationship with food and body can feel overwhelming, but you won't do it alone. I'll help you navigate the ups and downs, help you stay grounded in what truly matters and celebrate every step you take towards a healthier, more compassionate relationship with yourself.
Will I create a meal plan for you?
I’m often asked if I can create a meal plan telling someone exactly what to eat. The problems with this approach is nutrition is so individual and I truly believe you are the expert of you! In cases where structure and meal plans are helpful for clients working on feeding themselves consistently, I have found clients have much more lasting success when we are able to work together to come up with a meal plan that incorporates individual food preferences, time constraints, cooking skills, budget, health conditions, etc. I often help clients come up with weekly meal/snack ideas, shopping lists, prepare grocery pick up orders, and more that help get them moving towards positive changes. I will always provide examples and guidance about patterns and structure of meals and snacks that will meet your nutritional needs but it is a team effort on specifics.
Can I help You lose _x_ pounds?

Often clients come to me with the goal to lose a certain amount of weight. I am always honest that I have no magic wand that creates quick or lasting weight loss. We will explore and discuess the pros and cons of intentional weight loss and talk through your desires for weight loss. We’ll explore if your goals are realistic and supportive of your physical and mental health and wellbeing. As a provider who values non-diet/weight-neutral care, I ask clients to focus on specific healthy behavior changes and improvements they can control and not obsess over the number on the scale. My clients often find when they focus on behaviors they can control, many markers of health and wellness will naturally improve.

Testimonial
"Katrisha has been an awesome dietitian to work with, especially during my pregnancy! She helped me find peace during a lack of ability to eat, and always had great ideas to try to help me get more nutrition during pregnancy. She's been a wonderful support as I navigated body changes and worked on my body image. I feel like my relationship with food has improved a lot, finding grace for myself as well as feeling more in control of what I decide to put into my body. "
